Three things... Firstly, adding to the discussion re: Lichfield Road where apparently local people drive a few hundred yards to park nearer to their destination, I also know of two people who live at one end of Tolcarne Drive/Chamberlain Way and drive to the Northwood Hills station end. It's only a short walk, why contribute to the congestion, polution (it's worse when your car is cold) and the council's argument? Secondly, if Tolcarne Drive was policed properly (parking restrictions are already ignored and not enforced) some of the cars would not 'cause a problem'. Thirdly, all I can see that this scheme does is, as stated previously, make Northwood Hills into a huge car park. Who in their right mind is going to walk from the lower end of Joel Street to Northwood Hills station? It strikes me that it would be easier to walk to Eastcote AND get a better tube service on the other branch of the Met Line. This all adds up to a money making scheme for the council. Just say NO!
